# Celebration

> The Celebration block plays an in-app animation for selected workspace users to mark a meaningful moment.

The **Celebration** block plays an in-app animation for selected workspace users to mark a meaningful moment. It belongs to the Workspace category. It writes nothing to your data and uses no credits. Its only job is to draw attention. Save it for genuine milestones, such as a closed-won deal, and not for every routine stage change.

| | |
| - | - |
| **Category** | Workspace |
| **Credit cost** | Free. Logic blocks consume no credits. |
| **Engine** | New Workflows engine (June 2026+) |
| **Plan availability** | All plans |
| **Limits** | None documented. |

## Inputs

| Input | Type | Required | Default | Notes |
| - | - | - | - | - |
| Type | Enum | Yes | None | The animation style: `Ceiling drop`, `Fireworks`, or `Cannons`. |
| Target | Workspace members | Yes | None | The members who see the animation in Attio. |

## Outputs

None.

The **Celebration** block produces no downstream value. There is no `{{ steps.celebration.* }}` reference for a later block to use. Treat it as a final action rather than a source of data.

## Behavior

The **Celebration** block fires once per run. It shows the chosen animation only to the members listed in `Target`, not to everyone in the workspace. The block writes no records and calls no outside service, so it never affects credit usage. It is also the end of its own branch. It produces nothing for a later block to consume.

## Gotchas

* **The celebration loses its meaning when overused.** Firing it on every stage change trains members to ignore it. Gate the block behind a tight condition so the animation stays a signal rather than noise. For example, only fire it when a deal reaches the closed-won stage.
* **Migrated Confetti blocks now read as Ceiling drop.** In legacy workflows the animation was called Confetti. Attio maps that single legacy style onto the `Ceiling drop` type in the new engine. If a migrated workflow looks different from the original, check that `Ceiling drop` is the intended style. Switch to `Fireworks` or `Cannons` if you want a different effect.
* **No one sees the animation unless you set `Target`.** `Target` is a required input. It names the specific members who should see the animation. Wire in the members you want to celebrate, such as the deal owner and their manager. Do not assume the whole workspace is included.

## Examples

### Celebrating a closed-won deal for the owner and their manager

A revenue team wants the deal owner and their sales manager to see a celebration the moment a deal is marked won. They pair it with a Slack post for the wider channel.

| Field | Value |
| - | - |
| Type | `Ceiling drop` |
| Target | Priya Sharma (owner), Jordan Lee (manager) |

When a deal moves to the closed-won stage, Priya Sharma and Jordan Lee each see a ceiling-drop animation in Attio. A separate Slack post announces the win to `#revenue`.

### Marking a quarterly revenue milestone for the whole revenue team

A team celebrates crossing a quarterly bookings target. They show every member of the revenue group a more dramatic animation.

| Field | Value |
| - | - |
| Type | `Fireworks` |
| Target | Revenue team members |

When the milestone workflow runs, every targeted member sees a fireworks animation in Attio. This reinforces the win across the whole revenue team at once.
