What is collected
The site gathers two kinds of data. Both are used only to operate and improve the resource.- Analytics. The site may use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization. This shows aggregate usage. For example, it shows which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and what devices they use. Analytics may not be active yet. This policy covers it from the moment it is enabled. No analytics data is used to identify individual visitors.
- Server and content-delivery logs. The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs. These logs include your IP address, user agent, requested URL, and a timestamp. They are kept to operate and secure the service. For how long they are kept, see Vercel’s privacy policy.
Cookies
When Google Analytics 4 is active, it sets cookies or similar identifiers. These tell one visitor apart from another. No other tracking runs on the site. There are no ad pixels, no fingerprinting, and no third-party advertising scripts.Mailing list
Joining the mailing list means you give your email address voluntarily. The address is used only to send handbook updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. Your address is never sold or shared for marketing.Third parties
Three processors handle data on the site’s behalf.- Google processes analytics when Google Analytics 4 is enabled.
- Vercel provides hosting and content delivery, including server logs.
- GitHub governs any activity on the handbook repository. Opening issues or pull requests there is subject to GitHub’s own terms and privacy policy.
